And The Band Played On

Well, I had just won a trip off the radio to see Roger Waters perform “The Wall” concert at the Berlin Wall, then off to see The Rolling Stones in Rome. We had had a terrible time getting out of New York…problems in the airport, etc. Once we finally got on the plane and had taken off, it was already 10:30pm (the flight was supposed to leave at 5:30pm). Well, after about 2.5 hours in the air, I was getting a little restless.

My wife was trying to comfort me by massaging my thigh, but this was hardly “comforting”. We worked our way down the aisle (as we were near the front of the plane). There was a marching band (or some type of band) all composed of youngsters (14-17) going to Germany as well. They all eyed us as we made our way to the rear of the plane. She went in first, then I looked around and made my way in to the lavatory as well.

Now, realize that both of us are over 6 foot tall, so this was no easy task. Once we finally found a position that we could work with, we were off to the races. She was sitting on me backwards, me lifting her hips for rhythm, and using the door for bracing. Then, we found that the curvature of the bathroom was perfect for her to lean up against the sink and for me to approach her from behind. After about 30 minutes of “working up an appetite,” we removed ourselves from the bathroom.

Much to our surprise, there was the whole “band” standing in the aisles near the bathroom as if they were our “ticker tape parade” congratulating us on a performance well done. My wife was thoroughly blushing and I just walked down the aisle……..again!
