I had just passed my FAA checkout in the afternoon. Tracey couldn’t wait to get me alone “up there”. I rented a Cessna 152 and we left the airport about 4:00.

Cruising up the beaches we repositioned ourselves to give us a little more room (not easy in a 152). I’m sure my shouts of ecstasy could be heard all the way to the ground — I had to turn the radios off because I was afraid I’d grab the yoke and press the mic button!

Two weeks later we got married and wore a set of mile high pins. Our kids were beside themselves but had to tell their friends all about it. Still happy after all these weeks (still newlyweds), and flying every chance we get.
